HIKEEP LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS

This Limited Warranty is issued by Hikeep, Inc. and is effective from October 1st, 2024. It only applies to the products sold on the Hikeep official website (hikeepebike.com). Other ways to buy Hikeep electric bikes (Amazon, offline dealers, Best Buy, etc) are subject to the corresponding warranty policies.  

For Original Purchaser

We provide a 1-year warranty for each Hikeep e-bike, excluding all wear and tear items. The warranty begins from the day of receiving the bike.

For Subsequent Owner

We provide a 1-year warranty for each Hikeep e-bike, excluding all wear and tear items. The subsequent owner should provide the proof of original purchase (original owner's name & original order number). The warranty still begins from the day of the original owner’s receipt of the bike. 

Note:

 1. “Original Purchaser” means buying electric bikes directly from the Hikeep official website. “Subsequent Owner” means the second or later owner of the e-bike.

2. If it is necessary to replace the bike parts, accessories or even change the bike, we may charge a certain amount of money as the shipping fee. Please contact our customer service team for help.   For Separately Purchased Accessories We provide 1-year warranty for separately purchased accessories. Here are the details.

1. Within 7 Days of Receipt: 
(1) Returns and exchanges are accepted.
(2) If the accessory has a quality issue, the return or exchange shipping fee will be fully covered by Hikeep.
(3) If the accessory has no quality issue, exchange are not accepted. For return, 20% of the order amount will be deducted as a handling/shipping fee (with a minimum charge of $15).

2. After 7 Days of Receipt:
Returns and exchanges are not accepted.
Note: Wear and tear items are not covered under warranty. These items include tires, brake pads, bearings, chains, free hub bodies, handlebar grips, rubber moving parts, shifter, brake cables and casings, spokes, sprockets, stripped threads/bolts, tools, transmission gears, etc.

About Batteries


Due to the particularity of the battery.Hikeep lithium ion batteries are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 3 months period from the date of original purchase. The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of improper charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear or water damage.
Warm tip: If the battery is not used for more than half a month electric car customers note that long periods of time not used to cause the battery emptying charge can not be charged, is man-made damage (not in the after-sales warranty, not a quality problem).
The correct method: must be fully charged before parking, and disconnect the battery from the tram!


Wear and Tear Items

“Wear and tear” refers to damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal riding. Wear and tear items are not covered by this warranty policy. The following is a non-exhaustive list of other typical wear and tear items not covered by this warranty:
Tires
Bearings
Brake Pads
Chains
Free Hub Bodies
Handlebar Grips
Rubber moving parts
Shifter, brake cables and casings
Spokes
Sprockets
Stripped threads/bolts
Tools
Transmission gears

Uncovered Situations

This warranty is void under the following circumstances and does not apply to damage caused by any of the following situations:

• Improper assembly or installation.

• Crash, neglect, improper repair, improper maintenance, or other abnormal, excessive, or improper use.

• Corrosion.

• Improper alteration or installation of components, parts, or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with Hikeep products.

• Failure to perform maintenance or service at appropriate intervals in accordance with the written instructions provided with the products.

Warranty Claim Process

1. Contact Us: Contact our customer service team support@hikeepebike.com with proof of purchase, clear pictures of the product problem, and a description of the problem.

2. Inspection: Our team will evaluate the problem to determine if it is covered under warranty.

3. Repair or Replacement: If covered under warranty, we will repair or replace the defective part at no charge. Shipping charges may apply in special cases.This warranty policy is designed to protect your electric vehicle use. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us!
